Google says Steph Curry will use its AI to get better at basketball

Google announced a multi-year partnership with Steph Curry, where the NBA star will use Google Cloud AI to improve his basketball performance through tools like AI Basketball Coach. Beyond sports, Curry will serve as a “Performance Advisor,” working with Google’s health experts to shape Fitbit models, personal health coaching, and future product experiences.

A closer look at Google’s AI health coach and the redesigned Fitbit app

Google unveiled a Gemini-powered personal health coach that will debut in October for Fitbit Premium users, alongside a redesigned Fitbit app. The update introduces a cleaner layout with four main tabs—Today, Fitness, Sleep, and Health—featuring customizable metrics and card-based progress feeds.

Google Gemini can now read your Docs aloud

Google Docs is rolling out an AI-powered audio feature that lets users generate spoken versions of documents with customizable voices and playback speeds. Both authors and readers of shared documents can access audio through the Tools menu or an inserted audio button.

Adobe’s AI Acrobat file hub is designed for more than PDFs

Adobe is launching Acrobat Studio, an expanded version of Acrobat that merges PDF functionality with Adobe Express and AI assistants, letting users upload up to 100 documents into one collaborative workspace. The new platform introduces “PDF Spaces,” where users can consolidate research, sign agreements, and transform information into visual assets without leaving Acrobat.

Nvidia said to be developing new, more powerful AI chip for sale in China

Nvidia is reportedly developing a new AI chip for China, codenamed B30A, which will be less powerful than its B300 Blackwell GPU but stronger than its H20 models. The move comes amid shifting US export rules, with Nvidia stressing all products comply with government approvals. Uncertainty still remains regarding whether the chip will be cleared for sale.

Notion now works without an internet connection

Notion has finally added offline mode, letting users view, edit, and create notes without an internet connection on desktop and mobile. Changes sync once back online, though certain features like embeds and forms still require connectivity.

What You Really Need to Know

From Courtside to the Cloud… AI is a Part of Everyday Life

The common thread is how tech companies are embedding AI and advanced tools into everyday life, from Google’s health coach, Docs audio, and Steph Curry partnership to Nvidia’s China-specific chip and Notion’s long-awaited offline mode. These moves show AI evolving from novelty to practical utility across health, productivity, and entertainment.

Another takeaway is the focus on long-term infrastructure and adaptability—Google investing in nuclear power for AI growth, Nvidia navigating export rules, and Notion improving usability. Together, they highlight a shift toward making advanced technology both accessible and sustainable at scale.
