OpenAI’s New ChatGPT Model Will Write Code for Your Company

OpenAI has added GPT-4.1 to ChatGPT, a model previously available only via API, now tailored to excel at coding tasks. Released on April 14, GPT-4.1 features an expanded context window, enabling it to handle larger codebases and complex documents—ideal for web app development, code maintenance, and data-heavy analysis.

Agentic AI is the Next Wave of Innovation

YAI is rapidly evolving from task-based tools to proactive, emotionally intelligent agents that can personalize experiences, anticipate needs, and autonomously act (like planning a trip and managing purchases). Platforms like Azure AI Foundry are empowering enterprises to build, scale, and fine-tune these advanced agents, with companies like Air India already achieving 97% customer service automation.

Microsoft Cuts Bing Search APIs, Shifts Focus to Chatbots

Microsoft is shutting down access to its Bing Search APIs, a move that limits smaller search engine startups and developers who relied on its raw search data feed. While larger customers like DuckDuckGo say they won’t be affected, the decision reflects Microsoft's broader shift toward prioritizing chatbot and AI services over traditional search partnerships.

Apple is Developing Custom Chips for Smart Glasses

Apple is developing a new generation of in-house chips aimed at powering future products like smart glasses, AI-capable servers, and next-gen Macs, according to Bloomberg. One chip, designed specifically for smart glasses, will support voice commands, photo capture, and audio playback, using a low-power design based on Apple Watch components and modified for multi-camera support.

Google’s Gemini chatbot can now more easily analyze GitHub projects

Google's Gemini Advanced subscribers ($20/month) can now connect the chatbot directly to GitHub to enhance coding tasks. Users can import public or private repositories by clicking the “+” in the prompt bar, selecting “import code,” and pasting a GitHub URL. This enables Gemini to generate, explain, and debug code using real-time access to users' codebases.

What You Really Need to Know

AI Tools are Becoming More Capable Each Day.

AI tools are becoming more capable, moving from assistants to active contributors in work like coding and automation. OpenAI’s GPT-4.1 and Google’s Gemini now support advanced coding workflows, while Microsoft’s shift from Bing APIs to chatbots shows where the industry is heading.

Enterprise AI is leaning into agentic systems—intelligent agents that act on behalf of users. Tools like Azure AI Foundry enable businesses to create these agents, with companies like Air India already seeing major efficiency gains.

Big tech is preparing for this AI-first future at the hardware level. Apple’s new low-power chips for smart glasses and servers show a push toward devices built for smart, context-aware experiences across both consumer and enterprise use.
