OpenAI lets users buy stuff directly through ChatGPT
With OpenAI’s Instant Checkout feature, US users can make single-item purchases from Etsy and some merchants on Shopify without ever leaving ChatGPT. Merchants looking to maintain customer connections and continue driving sales in an increasingly AI-driven world can use OpenAI’s Agentic Commerce Protocol to make their products shoppable within ChatGPT.
Introducing YouTube Labs: Shape the future of AI on YouTube
YouTube is rolling out a new initiative to explore potential use cases for AI on the platform. The first experiment is now available in the YouTube Music app—AI music hosts enhance the listening experience by sharing relevant stories, trivia, and commentary. To shape the future of YouTube, a limited number of participants in the US will be able to test early prototypes and experiments as they roll out.
Microsoft launches ‘vibe working’ in Excel and Word
“Vibe working” meets Microsoft Office with Agent Mode. With chat prompts, users can generate complex spreadsheets, as well as improve writing with Copilot-drafted content, suggested edits, and more. Through Office Agent in Copilot chat, users can create PowerPoint presentations and Word documents using chat prompts. While Microsoft uses OpenAI to power its AI capabilities in Office apps, Anthropic models are powering Copilot chat.
Adobe’s video editing app Premiere arrives on iPhones
Premiere, Adobe’s video editing app, is now available for free on iPhones. Packed with editing capabilities, Adobe has also added a variety of premium AI-powered features that require user credits for use. For example, create background sounds from a prompt, turn images into videos, and more. Adobe is also providing access to its library of photos, clips, and sounds for use in videos free of charge.
