How Quantious helped a technical firm transform an undefined discovery offering into a clear, repeatable package designed to simplify sales conversations, deliver meaningful client value, and open doors to new business.
Sometimes, the biggest growth opportunities involve uncovering the value of what's already there. Our client, a technical firm, approached prospective customer engagements with a tried-and-true process that helped surface challenges, identify opportunities, and determine the right path forward.
However, this process wasn’t clearly defined as a standalone service, so the team struggled with how to present it to prospective clients. Without set messaging, pricing, scope, or deliverables, this process was not only difficult to pitch, but difficult for clients to understand.
That's where Quantious came in. Our goal wasn't to reinvent the firm's approach but to turn this existing capability into a structured, market-ready offering. By clearly defining the service, the team has a more consistent way to sell, scope, and deliver this process (now known as Discover) while creating a natural starting point for new client relationships.
The Challenge
Discover had long been part of the firm's broader service model, but its value was tied to the team's experience and wasn’t clearly documented as an offering. Without a defined scope, pricing, timelines, or deliverables, it was challenging for the team to explain to clients what they would receive and why it was beneficial.
Completely overhauling the firm's service model would have introduced unnecessary complexity. However, leaving Discover undefined would result in continued friction in sales conversations, as well as missed opportunities.
To make this offering more compelling, the team needed a way to make their expertise repeatable without stripping away the flexibility that made it valuable.
Our Approach
Quantious started by examining how the firm already approached Discover. Rather than jumping straight into sales messaging or packaging, we focused on its purpose, guiding frameworks, delivery process, and end results.
With that foundation in place, we translated the firm's flexible, experience-driven approach into a practical engagement structure. Together, we clarified the offering's scope, pricing, timeline, client participation requirements, and expected deliverables. In defining this criteria, we had three goals in mind:
Make Discover simple enough for prospective clients to understand (and sign up for)
Ensure the offering is substantial enough to provide meaningful value
Establish enough structure for the team to execute Discover consistently across engagements
We intentionally ruled out building a full suite of finished sales assets. The priority was to establish a strong, usable offering first. From there, we worked to craft client-facing messaging that answered questions prospective clients would naturally ask, like:
Who is Discover for?
When does it make sense?
What does the process involve?
What will we walk away with?
By defining the service before packaging the story around it, we helped the team connect what they already did well with a clearer, more consistent client experience.
The Impact
Discover is no longer simply an approach embedded within the firm's broader services—it's a clearly defined, documented offering. With it, the team now has shared language to confidently explain what the offering is, clearer boundaries to manage expectations, and a repeatable foundation for proposals and delivery planning.
The offering also creates a more accessible entry point for new client relationships. Instead of asking prospects to commit immediately to a larger engagement, the firm can introduce Discover as a focused starting point that delivers value while helping identify opportunities for future work.
On the other side, prospective clients can better understand what they're committing to and how the engagement can help turn ambiguous business challenges into actionable next steps.
By building structure around an existing strength, Quantious helped turn a capability into a clearer business opportunity, with a foundation the firm can continue to refine as Discover evolves.
